Video commissioned by City & Guilds of London Art School.
This multimedia piece combines stills and film that trace the creation process for the Royal Barge prow sculpture for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. Footage was captured over a 5 month-period.
A longer version made of four chapters was provided to the Client. It offers in-depth interviews over the creative process and the craft.
London-based psychedelic/electronica band CLANS asked me to produce a music video that they needed to enter a contest. We made this in a couple of hours with two (weak) sources of light in a dark rehearsal studio.
I had the chance to meet Osita Nwankwo at the MA Show at City & Guild of London Art School. He hired me to photograph his painting and I took the opportunity to interview him and his creative approach. He talked very openly about the way his artistioc drive flows and how it helped him in his personal life. The interview is in two parts on 6 minutes each.

Coming Home to EuropeShort introductory films about Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Slovakia and Slovenia. On the eve of the welcoming 10 new countries by the European Union, in May 2004, I was commissioned by the European Movement in collaboration with Morris & Chapman to make documentary films about these new EU member states. The series was published on a DVD called Coming Home to Europe and were also viewable on the European Movement website. They are no more on line so I uploaded a few of them here as a part of my portfolio: http://www.ncorre.com/film/coming-home-to-europe/ During 28 days, I travelled from Estonia to Slovenia and visited Malta and Cyprus separately to collect footage and interviews about each country. |
